Pilates Republic was created as a refined, intimate space dedicated to intelligent movement and lasting strength.
Founded by Sharon Harris, a Master Pilates Instructor with over 20 years of experience, the studio offers carefully curated reformer sessions as well as fully equipped private and duet sessions in a calm, focused environment.
Each session is taught with precision, attention and care, prioritising alignment, strength, mobility and longevity.

Meet the Team

Sharon Harris – Founder & Senior Instructor
Sharon Harris brings over two decades of experience in the movement and fitness industry, with a career shaped by a lifelong passion for intelligent, purposeful movement.
She qualified as a BASI Comprehensive Pilates Instructor in 2005 and began her career under the guidance of renowned BASI mentor Jodene Glass. These early years of mentorship helped develop Sharon’s precise eye for movement and her deep respect for the principles of alignment, control, and strength that underpin the Pilates method.
In 2012, Sharon further expanded her practice by qualifying as a Vinyasa yoga teacher. She holds a deep respect for yoga’s meditative qualities, as well as the flexibility and lengthening it brings to the body, elements that continue to inform her approach to movement and teaching.
Movement has always played an important role in Sharon’s life. She swam competitively throughout her school years and has continued to enjoy an active lifestyle, with a particular love for water skiing, trail running, and outdoor activities.
Sharon went on to founder Urban Flow Pilates, a boutique studio in Sandton, where she spent nearly 18 years working closely with clients and building a strong community around thoughtful, high-quality Pilates instruction. During this time she developed a reputation for her attentive teaching style and her ability to assess movement with care and precision.
Two years ago Sharon relocated to Cape Town with her family, drawn by the opportunity to live closer to nature and enjoy the balanced outdoor lifestyle the Cape offers.
Her teaching approach is defined by precision, care, and a deep understanding of the body, guiding clients to build strength, restore balance, and move with confidence over time.
Pilates Republic is the natural evolution of her work: a refined space where movement is considered, personal, and enduring, designed to support strength, longevity, and a lasting connection to the body.

Diane Winn-Rooke – Pilates Instructor
Diane Winn-Rooke is a devoted Pilates instructor with a deep passion for health, movement, and wellbeing. Energetic and highly committed to the Pilates method, she works with clients of all fitness levels, bringing patience, attentiveness, and dedication to every session. Her creative and engaging approach keeps clients motivated, challenged, and inspired in their practice.
A lifelong lover of sport and fitness, Diane is also an accomplished long-distance runner and triathlete. Pilates has played an important role in supporting her own strength, endurance, and overall wellbeing, reinforcing her belief in its benefits for both body and mind.
At the heart of Diane’s teaching is a balanced approach to health and wellness — helping clients move better, feel stronger, and gain confidence in their bodies. Guiding people towards positive, lasting change is both a privilege and a deeply rewarding part of her work.

Bookings
Booking & Payment
All sessions and packages are booked online and secured with full upfront payment to guarantee your place and maintain our boutique, personalised studio experience.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the session without penalty.
Changes made less than 24 hours before the session will be charged in full.
Missed Sessions
Missed sessions are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Late Arrival
Arrivals more than 5 minutes late cannot be accommodated and will be treated as a missed session.
Packages
Packages are non-transferable and non-refundable and must be used within the validity period provided at the time of purchase.
